Dental Health
Did you know that good dental hygiene can actually add years to your pet’s life? At Three Springs Animal Hospital, we view oral health as a gateway to overall systemic health. Bacteria from untreated dental disease can enter the bloodstream, affecting the heart, liver, and kidneys. That is why Dr. Luke and our team treat dental care with the same medical rigor as any other surgical procedure.
Our comprehensive dental services are designed to remove plaque, treat periodontal disease, and slow future buildup. We don't just "clean teeth"—we provide a deep, clinical restoration of your pet’s oral health. From scaling and polishing to advanced extractions, our goal is to increase the well-being and quality of your pet’s life, ensuring they stay pain-free and happy for years to come.
Your Pet’s Dental Health Journey
1
Complete Oral Examination
Dr. Luke begins with a thorough exam of the teeth and oral cavity to identify signs of periodontal disease, decay, or hidden oral trauma.
2
Supra & Subgingival Scaling
Using specialized veterinary tools, we remove plaque and tartar from both the visible surface of the teeth and, crucially, from beneath the gum line.
3
Diagnosis & Treatment
We evaluate the health of the gums and jaw. If necessary, we perform expert tooth extractions to remove sources of infection and chronic pain.
4
Polishing & Irrigation
After scaling, we polish the enamel to create a smooth surface that slows future plaque buildup, followed by a thorough antiseptic irrigation.
5
Fluoride & Antiseptic Care
We apply a professional-grade fluoride treatment to strengthen the enamel and use an antiseptic mouth rinse to eliminate lingering bacteria.
6
Home Care Education
Our staff provides you with the "why" and "how" of dental health, empowering you with the tools and information to maintain their smile at home.
